Streaming and pirating music is becoming more and more prevalent in the world. Less people are buying physical CD's, and more people are buying/stealing music online. Most people prefer to use online music streaming resources like, "Spotify" to listen to music. Even though the decline in CD sales would make you think that the music industry is dying, those sales are being replenished with digital sales. The industry is still holding ground and showing strong numbers.

Yes, physical CD sales are dropping. The fact is that CD's aren't very relevant anymore and just because their declining in interest music in general is. With streaming and pirating becoming the main way music is becoming available more bands are getting music out there. It's easier for anyone to obtain anything they want. More people are going to shows and buying more merch. That money goes straight to an artist.
