So often used when explaining so much about people, so rarely used accurately. A lovely metaphor for use when discussing harnessing creativity, challenging linear thinking, the brain dichotomy is nothing like pop psychology would have us believe. How many trainers have you come across who use it as fact? The question is, is still OK to use it as a metaphor?

As Scott Rhufus points out, psychopaths are masterful at managing up while laying waste to those below and around them. But they deliver, especially where cutthroat decising making is needed. The current climate and government drivers reward these behaviours, while evidence shows longer term success is related to a completely different style of leader - whether you term it transformational, o\authentic or conscious. Useful at all ages and walks of life. What we always knew: your mind on meditation = less wandering, more doing | The gentle, wise and spiritual. | Scoop.it

Science has shown this before, but it is alweays a useful reminder to maintain meditation in daily practice. The more we train in any area the more efficient we become. The brains of experienced meditators appear to be fitter, more disciplined and more "on task" than do the brains of those trying out meditation for the first time.
