This conversation is a great example of music evolvement and an industry vet surviving and adapting to change. I might disagree a bit with the whole take about loosing the quality of music, I feel that many old school industry pros feel that way, which is normal in any industry. People are pesimistic of change sometimes. Great interview though.

The past will somehow always continue to come back around to influence the new school but just like Hip Hip and then EDM became mainstream, others will follow.

Very basic insight, but a great point when referencing on how times have changed in the industry. While producers used to be very scarce and only found in big studios working for major labels, now there is talent everywhere. Great sounds are coming out of home studios.

I believe having Jay-Z and his industry friends headspearing this project has to give it some type of edge over the current platforms. I dont think Tidal will be one to lead its catagory but it sure is interesting to see what advantages it will provide for not only users but also for the artists. Hey, who would have thought Beats by Dre would have turned out the way it did right?
