I think that finding the right marketing communication mix for anyone’s business is vital in today’s world. This article clearly identifies how companies can accomplish finding the right communication mix. It is true what the article states; it states that choosing the right mix for optimal impact is more important than ever as everyone has less and less available time and budgets that need to stretch to do more. It goes to illustrate ways that companies can find the right communication mix through using what they call ‘basics’ such as using media that your audience uses, use what makes sense for your product, and also use what’s appropriate for your customer relationship. Overall, I think this article has a good point and that sometimes going back to the basics could work more than strategies used today.

In relations to your article I know it’s effective to decide on which marketing mix to be used in among a specific brand but it also dependent on what type of products are you selling and consider that if you’re are customer of your own product then maybe it’s best to provide only necessary mix that can track down your customer satisfaction level in regards to how you utilize the product. Other point the article made it clear is that when considering target market try to stay closely to the type of environment that suits they’re daily lifestyle as if your customers are young then it is suitable to use the internet as tool for attracting them through advertising socially effective use of technologies can make it easier to reach specific audience that counts.

I think that this article is good for students such as me as it gives them a good definition of what the communication mix is used for in companies. The article states that communication mix refers to specific methods used to promote the company or its products to targeted customers. It also goes to state that some depictions of the promotional mix include five elements whilst others add sixth event sponsorship. These elements are known as Advertising, Personal selling, Discounts and Promotions, Public Relations, Direct Marketing and Event Sponsorship. These elements are all important in creating a successful communication mix but the one element I think is more vital with regards to IMC is advertising as it tends to attract consumers through its advertising message.
