Corporate Fandango
Hailing from the Greensboro area since 2006 they have become seasoned with time. With the addition of Trumpet and Tenor Sax their sound is fortified as what you see and hear today- loud, fast powerful, high energy poppy ska-punk at its best.

Brian Hill of Regatta 69
Brian Hill‟s unmistakable voice, memorable songs and lyrical bass stylings have been the sonic backbone of his touring rock-reggae band Regatta 69 for more than a decade. His renegade touring both with Regatta 69 and solo has covered more than 1500 concerts in 42 states and 17 countries. Now with guitar in hand and a slight shift towards looping grooves, his latest music envisions a place deep in the foothills ricocheting with emotions. With this new interpretation of the reggae sound, your ears will lead you to mine what echoes within.

Common Foundation
Colorful, bright, and spirited, Common Foundation is a young group of some really talented individuals. They play a blend of reggae, rocksteady and uptempo ska, all outfitted with a big band style horn section. They‟ll move from soulful instrumentals with jazz influenced solos, to sing along melodies in three part harmony. Always enjoying their performance, and always bringing a smile, Common Foundation is a new Asheville band worth checking out.

The Leeves
"HOW IT ALL BEGAN--Jerrod did a radio show on WUAG called ""Radio Greensboro"". A band cancelled one Sunday and he gathered Jon and Doug to make up songs to fill the gap. They rocked out under the moniker ""The Leeves Are turning Red and Orange and Purple"". Just because it was college radio and the kids love long band names. They played the radio show and two years later they decided they should plug in and use a full drum set. New songs were written and some of Jerrod's ""Live From the Basement"" songs were dusted off. Maybe one day they will play full time, every single day. Until that day enjoy the brief moments when these boys are pouring their hearts and souls into this music which comes straight from (you guessed it) their hearts and souls. :)

7/29 - The Breakfast Club

7/29 - The Breakfast Club | The Blind Tiger | Scoop.it
This is NOT some wig wearing, mall fashion version of an ‘80’s cover band, lip syncing to tracks while pretending to play an unplugged guitar. This is real hair, real 1980s clothes, real vocals, and real musical ...talent. The Breakfast Club is the real deal, performing live ‘80’s pop “better than the original artists” - Wilmington Star News.

Formed in December 1993, The Breakfast Club was the very first tribute band of its kind in the country. Created by Jerry Finley, who has worked with such 80's music legends as The Romantics and The Hooters, the band continues to be the most requested and widely marketable 80's tribute band in the United States.

The Breakfast Club guys have performed for movie stars, rock legends, some of the world's top corporations, and more than three million of the most amazing fans a band of any kind could ever hope for

7/31 - Bit Brigade Presents: Castle Bandia w/The Bronzed Chorus & Eszett | The Blind Tiger | Scoop.it
Bit Brigade Presents: Castle Bandia (CD RELEASE)

When Bit Brigade rolls into town, the gamer elite hang up the controller for the evening and see a rock show. With unprecedented attention to detail and post-rock bombast, Bit Brigade meticulously replicates every musical cue, cutscene and boss battle in perfect synchronization with master gamer Noah McCarthy's inspiring speed-trial run of each level. Composed of members of roadwarrior (both stateside and abroad) mathrock bands Cinemechanica and We Versus The Shark, Bit Brigade elevates game music to its proper place in the foreground of epic technical rock and plays the games like they don't need the extra lives. Which, for the record, they don't.

The Bit Brigade has preformed in Greensboro as Megaband, Contranband and Ninjaband.

*Eszett*
For the introduction of a new kind of music must be shunned as imperiling the whole state; since styles of music are never disturbed without affecting the most important political institutions.

7/28 - The Weeks w/ The Junior Astronomers & Dear Kavalier

7/28 - The Weeks w/ The Junior Astronomers & Dear Kavalier | The Blind Tiger | Scoop.it
The sound of wind through the pines, bare feet brushing through leaves, snapping sticks like the spines of the weak. When we started we were small and strong at heart, five southern souls damned to speak the truth. But with this responsibility comes pain and loss. And as the years passed our numbers grew smaller, and there were four. This did not stop these brave soldiers of thought, keepers of truth. They were older now and their soft footsteps through the forest had grown louder and stronger. Like the dust filled hoof beats of a thousand wild horses, they layer sound like musket fire, their melodies bend and twist like train-tracks. A music shaped from the calloused hands and wrinkled faces of their fathers. They have walked through the fire wide-eyed and crazy, and came out enlightened. You cannot stop these men, your armies can’t cease their hands, dampen this thunder, or silence their tongues. We have trudged through the muddy swamps to freedom. Our shoes are tattered and torn, but our feet are dry. As for our places in history, we will run naked through your streets before we sit decorated in your halls.
