Constitutional Amendments

The constitutional amendments are the laws and rules that diffine America. I have chosen amendments 1,2,3, and 4. Amendment 1, is the guarantee and protection of the rights and freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition. Amendment 2, gives the people the right to bear arms or keep weapons. Amendment 3, States that providing lodging for soldiers in private homes is only permissible with the consent of the owner. Amendment 4, prohibits unreasonable searches ans seizures, and requires a warrant if there is probable cuase or reason to believe that the search will give evidence to a crime.

War of 1812 and the Civil War

There was alot of commandeering of residences during the War of 1812 and the Civil War. Violations of the 3rd amendment were inflicted alot because of it. It even happand in both loyal and rebellious states during the Civil War.
