"If we can see the value that business intelligence has to focus the business, then surely the same should apply to our business processes and the security controls that enable them. We must be able to define core processes and information and the technology that wraps around them. Then, we must allocate relevant security controls based on the business value of those processes."


This is what the businesses today should emphasize upon before taking the big plunge into Business Intelligence (BI). Their decision about the business and  decision support systems lie over their Buiness Processes, CRM, ERP etc. And then the BI systems like QlikView, Tableau etc., shall add value to improvize their business by giving insights into their data uncovering un-acknowledge or un-attended business patterns or whatever.

 

And more the security in their process, data and information management, BI on top of it shall definitely be the most satisfying, returns-oriented, luxary an organization can have!
