Evernote Moleskine notebook review: When digital and analog elegantly collide

Evernote Moleskine notebook review: When digital and analog elegantly collide | TechTalk4 | Scoop.it

Besides the release of Microsoft's tablet Surface, I'm most excited about Evernote teaming up with Moleskine to create, what appears to me, to be the ultimate organizing environment. I enjoy my iPad but still like paper. Sometimes I just feel like having a really cool pen and writing. Being a library gurl, I love to organize. i don't like the disaray of digital and analog notes on a topic. I want them all in one place. I think I may have found a way.........http://thenextweb.com/apps/2012/10/20/evernote-moleskine-review/

Educational Leadership:Feedback for Learning:Seven Keys to Effective Feedback

Educational Leadership:Feedback for Learning:Seven Keys to Effective Feedback | TechTalk4 | Scoop.it

I enjoy reading just about anything from Grant Wiggins. His article in the September issue has been discussed like crazy. Though his clear ideas on something we do countless times per day might prove helpful "Advice, evaluation, grades—none of these provide the descriptive information that students need to reach their goals. What is true feedback—and how can it improve learning?"http://www.ascd.org/publications/educational-leadership/sept12/vol70/num01/Seven-Keys-to-Effective-Feedback.aspx ; Practical examples are here: http://grantwiggins.wordpress.com/2012/11/04/on-feedback-13-practical-examples-per-your-requests/

Popcorn Maker | TechTalk4 | Scoop.it

Popcorn Maker, a free web app that makes video pop with interactivity, context and the magic of the web.

Popcorn Maker makes it easy to enhance, remix and share web video. Using Popcorn Maker’s simple drag and drop interface, you can add live content to any video — photos, maps, links, social media feeds and more. All right from your browser.

“Until now, video on the web has been stuck inside a little black box,” says Mozilla’s Director of Popcorn, Brett Gaylor. “Popcorn Maker changes that, making video work like the rest of the web: hackable, linkable, remixable, and connected to the world around it.”

Ten Things I prefer to do on Microsoft Surface versus my Apple iPad

Ten Things I prefer to do on Microsoft Surface versus my Apple iPad | TechTalk4 | Scoop.it

Microsoft's Surface has been released. i've ordered a few for the school and Dee will try them out in her Anatomy class. I'm excited by several features on this new tablet: the split screen, the USB port, the super fast browser and the detachable touch keyboard that really makes this device more laptop than tablet. Only about 300 apps out for the new kid on the block but, hey thats about 200 more than the iPad had at its debut. Stay tuned.

Meograph: Four-dimensional storytelling | TechTalk4 | Scoop.it

"Meograph helps you easily create, share, and playback beautiful stories in context of Where and When." Meograph offers a nice way to create narrated map-based and timeline-based stories. Much of what Meograph offers can be accomplished in Google Earth. However, Meograph is browser-based so that students can create stories even if they cannot install Google Earth on their computers.

Twitter Blog: Announcing the Twitter Fiction Festival | TechTalk4 | Scoop.it

"Twitter is a place to tell stories. Often those stories are about news, or politics, or perhaps sports or music, but it turns out Twitter is a great place for telling fictional stories, too. As one professor from Michigan State University says, “Tweeting can be thought of as a new literary practice.” We want to celebrate that."

Hacking Letterpress - Finite State | TechTalk4 | Scoop.it

Calling all Scrabble enthusiasts! Letterpress is an iOS game
