Having seen this tool incorporated into a SMLE on this week's discussion board I was curious. Now I'm impressed.

The new templates are impressive! I looked into Haiku Deck a few years back, but it seemed limited in terms of other presentation tools available. Now I see much more affordability in using the tool.

I like animoto, since it is fairly easy to use, but prezi has a learning curve. Kizoa sounds very interesting, a combo of slides and video.

I couldn't help but read this article through the lenses of my "library glasses." Where do we fit in as educators in the edtech world? Why do we need libraries if students can access our resources remotely? The key is in point #2: the success of tech will still rely on skilled teachers. That's us. The skilled, professionally trained and certified school library media specialist. The tool is nothing without curated content.

I've heard a lot about SMAR but never really taken the time to look into it. It might be time now that I'm looking at integrating more technology into my classroom. This model clearly supports technology and expects the use of it.

Explains a lot about how digital tech can help, though on investigation this seems to be a model developed seemingly from nowhere without much academic work behind it. Example of a simple model stating the obvious? Does it matter that it's origins are hazy? Having had the chance to look into it and its creator, it's interesting to note how popular it is and how accepted it is, without much critique. Is it really that great a model?! Just wondering! Raises a lot of questions.
