In this post I'm sharing iPad Apps that allow users to free up their hands and get rid of the traditional note pad!
Three of these apps are FREE allowing users to stop taking handwritten notes in a note pad and start audio recording everything they need - from to-do lists to a critical memo with the use of audio.
So, in alphabetical order we have...
Audio Memos - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/audio-memos-voice-recorder/id338550388?mt=8 - currently costs £0.99 and is a professionally made audio recorder. It has a very intuitive interface, which is easy to use and full of powerful features. Assessors, learners, educators etc., can use it in...
  - interviews,
  - lectures,
  - music session,
  - briefings
...and simplify their recording tasks.
Dictaphone - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/dictaphone-audio-recorder/id595361888?mt=8 - is a FREE audio record manager that lets users...
  - dictate notes and memos, as well as
  - record meetings, lectures, interviews etc.
Recorder Plus - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/recorder-plus-professional/id884644433?mt=8 - is FREE and provides a wide variety of features including...
  - one touch recording,
  - a user friendly interface,
  - high quality audio recording, record and playback in the background
 ...and more.
Smart Record - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/smart-record-voice-recorder/id1008197697 - is a FREE professional recording tool that enables users to...
  - assign notes and photos to their recordings, helping them to capture both the moment and context, transforming the recording into a transparent and organised piece of information/evidence for assessments etc.
P.S. For those who use Android devices I'll be posting recorder apps for you in another post.

Looking for an Easy Way to Digitise Photographs?
Don't want to take the photographs out of frames or albums?
Well PhotoScan is worth looking at. PhotoScan is available through...
PhotoScan helps users “scan” photographs using their phone’s camera, they just need to...
► Push the button (as if they’re taking a photo) then
► match up the center circle with the four dots that appear ( see video at https://www.youtube.com/embed/MEyDt0DNjWU ).
► The app automatically enhances and rotates the image and—best of all—removes any glare
...creating a digital replica in seconds.
As well as the users loose photographs, the app also works with framed images and those already secured into their album(s).
For those who also use the Google Photos app, their PhotoScan images will be automatically uploaded to their cloud for easy searching and sharing.
An ideal tool for cataloguing photographs for safekeeping and easy sharing.

As practitioners I'm sure you will have tried out a number of online drawing tools and explored what they have to offer. If you haven't tried it check out Sketch Toy.
Sketch Toy is a free to use website offering a simple drawing interface but with a unique twist – the lines drawn can be made to appear as various degrees of shaky animations.
The canvas you are given has a texture that highlights this animated effect of shaky lines. The images created can be shared through a direct link. When people visit the link, they see the entire drawing made from start to finish, just like the user created it. Users can also download the image as a PNG file and share it but, of course, the animation effect would is lost.
P.S. the app offers a Chrome app as well.

P.P.S. With screen capture,it can be used to demonstrate maths or Science equations etc.

Fitness Bingo Fun - The P.E Geek

Fitness Bingo Fun - The P.E Geek | Technology in Art And Education | Scoop.it
Over the past 6 years of teaching,  I have observed how my students are inspired by the unknown. The element of surprise that comes from a randomly drawn task. This observation led me to develop the App ‘Spin It’  in 2013 which has gone on to become a hit amongst Phys Ed Teachers across the Globe. Essentially ‘Spin It is a random exercise & activity generator that makes it fun to get moving.

However more recently, I’ve taken the app to a whole new level by pairing it with the classic game of ‘Bingo’. Watch the video or follow the steps below to see how it works
