Office Mix is an add-in for PowerPoint 2013 that allows users to create interactive educational content quickly and easily. 
Once users enable the add in they can... 
► add quizzes or polls, 
► record screen capture video, 
► insert audio and videos and 
► add and remove digital ink during the presentation. 
It is a content creation system. 
When practitioners have completed the production of their lesson or course in Office Mix, they can export the presentation as a video or as a SCORM compliant file which they can then upload to their LMS. 
What is even more exciting is the ability to share lessons by uploading them to the Office Mix Gallery, found via the menu at the top of the Office Mix screen. 
So, Office Mix Gallery could be used as a learning management system.

Microsoft’s Office Online is a completely free, web-based version of Microsoft Office.

This online office suite is clearly competing with Google Drive, but it’s also a potential replacement for the desktop version of Office.
Unlike all of Microsoft’s other Office products, Office Online at is completely free.
This is Office Online’s biggest advantage over desktop versions of Microsoft Office.

It  can be used on all the PCs you want without paying for additional boxed copies or subscribing to Office 365, Microsoft’s subscription service for Office.
Because it’s a web application that runs in your browser, Office Online will run on everything, from Linux PCs and Chromebooks to iPads and Android tablets.

It doesn't require any special plug-in and works in any popular browser, including Firefox, Chrome, and Safari — not just Internet Explorer.
Should you use Office Online?

Well, that’s up to you. If you’d like a completely free version of Office it’s a compelling option.

On the other hand, you may need the more advanced features in the desktop version of Office.
NOTE: it does provide access to learners who can't afford the desktop version of office.

iTools is a simple and powerful tool for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch users; both learners and practitioners.
It is 100% freeware and a mobile tool. Users don't need to install the software onto a PC. Run iTools from a USB stick, as and when it is required.
The biggest plus for me is the ability to share both my iPhone and iPad screens on a Windowns PC; this is useful for both teaching and, as I've discovered, screen casting from the various apps. Resulting video clips are .avi.
iTools helps users manage media, iBooks, pictures and other files in their iDevices; although I haven't tried it yet, users are assured iTools can help install, uninstall and backup apps; it also can backup and restore folders.

Most people, learners, practitioners & other stakeholders, consider this web presence / Microsoft portal to be a place to download PowerPoint templates and that too is mostly done via the PowerPoint application.
However, doesn't just provide free PowerPoint templates, it also offers a plethora of clipart, icons, symbols and photos for presentations.

It also provides links to partner websites which offer everything from animations to royalty free music, all of which can be a great resource for those creating presentations.

1. Subtitling Add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint (STAMP); it helps Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 users add closed captions to the video and audio files that they add to presentations; boosting impact for those, in the target audience, with hearing disabilities.
It also enables video and audio in PowerPoint to be localised in different languages.
2. DAISY Consortium; Save as DAISY for Office 2010 enables Microsoft Word users to convert "Word Open XML" files to the Digital Accessible Information System (DAISY) format, which, in turn, powers digital talking books and compatible software & braille readers for those with print disabilities. This particular version now supports Office 2003, 2007 and 2010.
