OneTab extension for Google Chrome and Firefox - save up to 95% memory and reduce tab clutter

OneTab extension for Google Chrome and Firefox - save up to 95% memory and reduce tab clutter | technologies |
John Dalziel's insight:
Managing tabs within Google Chrome or Firefox is not only something that adults need to master, it is an essential skill that practitioners can teach their learners.
What is OneTab?
The OneTab extension can be used to quickly gather open tabs, reduce the amount of memory used, and convert your tabs into a list.
Your list can be restored, shared, and organised.
How does it work?
To see how easy the OneTab extension is to use, watch the video at ;
Why would Educational Practitioners Use The OneTab extension? Well OneTab gives users the ability to save time and work smarter.
OneTab is an ideal tool to automatically generate, and/or share...
  - a whole range of course appropriate lists to share with Learners;
  - a list of links for presentations;
  - a list of links for 'flipped learning';
  - a list of links for assignments...
...and more.
I wish I'd known about this before I retired and for Chromebook users and those who collaborate I would think it's a must try out! NOTE: When using the OneTab extension, Pinned Tabs are not included withing the lists.

Buffer for Firefox :: Add-ons for Firefox

Buffer for Firefox :: Add-ons for Firefox | technologies |
Buffer’s Browser extension for Firefox gives users the real power to use Buffer to...
* set a schedule once and then let all Buffer tweets get published - based on the daily schedule; tweets will be spread out over the day so users will never overwhelm their followers.
* drop links into the Buffer account
* the Buffer App tool queues them for future publishing. This way users can still enjoy spontaneous tweeting without stuffing their Twitter stream with multiple updates, within a short period of time.

Also, whenever users are reading an article, they can click on the Buffer icon and get the title of the page and a shortened link; they can then add it to their Buffer.

Status-4-Evar :: Add-ons for Firefox

Status-4-Evar :: Add-ons for Firefox | technologies |
Lost your status bar in FireFox 4? Know how to get it back? I found that Status-4-Evar, by Sparky Bluefang, solved the problem.

The extension provides...
* Status Text;
* Progress Meter; and
* Download Status items.

These toolbar items can be moved, wherever users want, by customizing the toolbars. Behavior of the toolbar items, and other additional settings, can be controlled in the extension preferences.
