John Dalziel's insight:

Safeguardiing/eSafety within most learning providers fails to highlight dangers like these...
Pay Attention
While texting-and-walking may present minor bodily threat to large inanimate objects and brisk speed-walkers, texting while driving or operating heavy machinery literally kills.
The potentially deadly practice, thankfully, is beginning to get the attention it deserves.
AT&T, in their “It Can Wait” campaign, has championed the anti-driving-and-texting initiative with videos about the dangers of driving distracted. I hope it works.

SafeShare allows you to safely share YouTube and Vimeo videos. It removes advertisement, related videos and other annoyances. It
John Dalziel's insight:
Video is an important aspect of many blended learning environments; the question today is... "Have practitioners thought about where they have their learners access videos?"
Many educators have concerns, especially with younger learners about using YouTube and Vimeo Videos, but...
"Have they considered using SafeShare TV?"
SafeShareTV has been around for quite some time, but I have found that many practitioners have forgotten about it!
This is a great tool for removing the distractions that could appear when using YouTube or Vimeo without needing to download and convert videos.
Simply copy and paste the video's URL and SafeShare TV does the rest.
What does SafeShare do?
► Removes advertisements from videos
► Customise the start and end times of videos
► No more advertisements for related or suggested videos!
► Share your video safely
With these SafeViews, practitioners are able to share videos with younger learners without being afraid that they can get to potentially inappropriate content.
It's important we don't forget about SafeShare TV!
It is such an important tool.
