QR video solutions to free math worksheets

John Dalziel's insight:

Slackmath exploits the use of QR codes.

Slackmath, developed by a Geoffrey Slack, a maths teacher in the USA, provides dozens of PDFs of algebra problems.

Each PDF contains QR codes next to the mathematics problems.
After learners complete the maths problems they scan the QR code to check their answers and find video explanations of how to solve the problems.

Perfect for learners to practice and get immediate feedback while studying on their own or in a learning environment geared towards the individual learner.

Musink - Free notation software; Free composition software

Musink is a free music composition editor that lets practitioners and/or learners easily write music notes.

The tutorials contain step-by-step instructions for most tasks and, with a little help from my musical colleague Mark, we completed our first publication.

Musink automates all layout tasks, unlike most notation editors who make it your responsibility to make music look good.

When a music score is complete, it takes 2 clicks to publish it as a PDF/PNG/XPS document, which users can then easily share online or send by email.

There is no need to install software or a plug-in to make the notes readable by others.

Apart from music notes, Musink also lets users create...
- books,
- simple posters, and
- drum loops providing a series of templates.

NOTE: the language used, according to Mark, isn't familiar to UK musicians but we are both sure it wouldn't take long to get your head around the differences.

An impressive tool that Music practitioners and Learners may well find very useful indeed.

PS End product can also be exported as a mid and/or mid loop. Impressive all round.
