48 hours of Greenhouse

During the last 48 hours the lowest number of users has been 19 at any given time. That occurred at 3 AM! People are reading what you are posting.

All of the Upper School students have both their Network and Greenhouse accounts activated. Way to go Class Principals!

Some teachers are posting Assignments as Updates rather than as Assingments. Understand when this happens, what was posted will not show up on the students calendars or class calendar. Not sure that that will be useful. In general, I'd post an Assingment as an Assignment and a Event as an Event and a Resource as a resource.

Celly - Instant Group Text and Polls | Mobile Learning | Text to Screen

Celly - Instant Group Text and Polls | Mobile Learning | Text to Screen | Tech Talk 3 | Scoop.it

"Celly lets you instantly group people and topics into cells. Cells function as chatrooms where
people communicate instantly via text-based messaging. Cells can include messages
from the web or other social networks to capture your
interest"

While we don't need the discussion feature because we have Greenhouse, it could be cool to use Celly during assemblies, as discussion srtarters for the next day in class, during field trips to tell kids to get back to the bus, etc.....

Aerbook Cloud Publishing

Aerbook Cloud Publishing: Create, publish, and share graphical eBooks and native apps made in your browser without writing any code

I've spent the last few months obsessing about the most versatile platform for teachers to create digital content either as a textbook or to publish student work. This one is pretty straightforward to use and it will work across different platforms. I like this application because users can elect  variable visability levels. So the book can be posted internally on Grenhouse or publicly on the web. All or part of the book can be published. I'm considering purchasing a subscription for the school so we can play with it this year. Give me some sort of Bat Signal if you're interested in test driving this tool.
