This looks like a great tool for organising student projects, timetables or group events. You can even get students to use it as a diary tool and submit their homework straight into it. Best of all it doesn't require regsitration.

100 Awesome STEM Resources - Milk and Cookies

100 Awesome STEM Resources - Milk and Cookies | Tech Bytes | Scoop.it
Why is STEM important? In short, the future job market will revolve around science. This includes all forms of technology, engineering and math. 80% of jobs in the future will require technology skills. Statistics today show that there will be a drastic shortage of job applicants in the next decade with the skills and knowledge to fill these new positions. While only 4% of the nation’s workforce is composed of scientists and engineers, this group creates jobs for the other 96% of the workforce (source). The average professional with a STEM-related degree earns more than double the average national wage. About 3 million jobs are currently unfilled because Americans lack the basic STEM skills needed for the positions (source).

Not so much a 'Quick Guide' as an in depth guide, really! Looks of detailed explanation and screenshots giving a solid overview of a whole host of tools. Much more useful than a list as you can read and look and get a clear idea of what the tool is and how it might be used.

What I really like about this pedagogy wheel (Padagogy as they say) is the list of different activities that one could integrate into a lesson or unit addressing each of the Blooms/SAMR framework levels.  The other nice piece is the list of verbs provided one could use in right objectives for the integration lessons.

Mirroring360 now offers new features – one of which is called Mirroring Assist.

This feature enables devices to mirror across large networks without using Bonjour – invaluable for IT. It also uses a QR code or 9-digit mirroring ID to connect, making it easy for teachers and students to mirror their devices. Teachers can easily save recently connected computers in a favorite list for future connections. In a BYOD environment students with any device can mirror their screen so teachers and students can connect, model, and share easily.

Bloom's Critical Thinking Questions to Use in Class ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning

Bloom's Critical Thinking Questions to Use in Class ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | Tech Bytes | Scoop.it

Critical thinking is an essential skill in the cognitive development of students. It is probably the number one skill teachers would mention when asked about the skills they target in their instruction. Critical thinking is also the key to developing other equally crucial thinking habits such as divergent, lateral  and convergent thinking. Critical thinking starts with asking and answering critical questions. By critical questions I mean those questions that enable students to categorize, infer, synthesize, evaluate and apply the knowledge they have accumulated in the past to solve existing problems and learn new information. This is a well thought-out process in which students get to challenge their cognitive capacities and explore novel thinking paths.

Charts like these always make great resources to use in the classroom. Laminate a copy and walk around the classroom to ask better questions. Post a large version in the room to have a constant reminder that there are levels to questions. Give each student a copy to help them ask better questions in seminars!
