Hangouts is a free, web-based collaboration- and communication tool, developed by Google. Hangouts allows for many simultaneous users to communicate and collaborate in a virtual space, and the tool is integrated with several of Google's other services, including YouTube and Google Drive. The tool is particularly suitable for use in the monological and the polyphonic form of teaching .

As a foreign language teacher, I am always looking for innovative ways to allow my students to demonstrate what they have learned.I want students to be able to choose a tool that brings out their creative side and, as a result, leads to a more authentic and meaningful learning experience.Because learning a language can be difficult, I try to design a variety of activities and projects that will provide students with practice and unique opportunities to develop their language skills through the creation of their projects. Loving this concept to create pictures with information, such a great Tool for students and Teachers alike. Although keeping it simple is key here, there is such a thing as looking at the picture and all the colours and not reading any of the information.

A professor at the University of Washington (UW) wants to catch 'em all, but he isn't content with just collecting hundreds of Pokemon. His ambitions are a little loftier, aiming to collect and scan all 25,000 known species of fish, to create 3D models of their skeletons which can then be freely downloaded, 3D-printed and studied. Real fish specimens can be difficult and costly to come by, so, much like Massey University's 3D printable cane toad skeletons, UW professor Adam Summers is trying to make it easier for students, scientists and hobbyists to study fish.
