Half an Hour: A Few Words on ePortfolios

Half an Hour: A Few Words on ePortfolios | Teaching HRM | Scoop.it

On the one hand, the portfolio may focus predominately on learning and reflection. Interesting post by Stephen Downes about the different functions of e-portfolios. Downes believes that in the future students will need to manage their online learning records and products, while linking to a range of services such as YouTube and Flickr. He links to an interesting project at University of Mary Washington which encourages students to create their own 'web presence' independently from any service providers.

Reflexión de Stephen Downes sobre la importancia de los e-portfolios, entendido como proceso y como producto. Concluye con la idea que que en el futuro serán equivalentes a las actuales certificaciones.

Como siempre, muy interesante.

A cool little tool that easily makes a picture using your quote (either your own or someone else's). There are background templates (though not very many) to choose from. You only have to type the quote, click on Create and...voilà, you have an image which you can insert in your presentation to add a nice touch.

Above you can see an example made by me.
