Student self-efficacy begins with teacher self-efficacy where both student and teacher believe the learning and teaching is meaningful.

The first question is good. It is actually two questions. Are protocols strictly defined? What are the benefits and drawbacks?
Teaching and learning are entangled phenomena. Teaching requires learning to happen, our own and that of others around us and beyond the walls of School. We forget this and wonder why learning does not happen. Learning cannot be guaranteed, but a space for it to happen depends on flexible protocols in the form of a matrices.
