4 Ways To Make Digital Portfolios With Students - Edudemic

4 Ways To Make Digital Portfolios With Students - Edudemic | Teachers with iPads | Scoop.it
There are a slew of free ways to make digital portfolios with students and for students. These are some of our favorites!

Beth Dichter's curator insight, September 17, 2013 10:50 PM

Have you considered having your students create a digital portfolio? As we move more and more to digital technology the ability to do this becomes easier, and the reasons you might do so seem to increase.A few of the reasons you might consider digital portfolio:

* students are able to  see their progress over time;

* it helps you as a teacher be able to track student progress more easily;

* it is easy to share with other teachers as students matriculate;

* they provide a tool for teacher and student to communicate.

One issue that has often stopped folks is how to save these portfolios. This post share four resources that you might consider using to do this: Evernote, Google Sites, WordPress and Edublogs. Each has a short explanation, oftem providing pros and cons.

Gewoon eens proberen!

Looks interesting,thanks.
Vicki Mast's curator insight, September 13, 2013 11:24 AM

I just downloaded the free version which looks good, but may have to upgrade. The features look well worth the $3.99 price. You can move & resize your drawn objects, zoom in/out, etc. If you're working on creating "flipped classroom" videos, or how-to tutorials this may be what you need. Check out their website and user guide for the details.

Animoby ℠ – Paint, type, draw, use voice in interactive board - Make presentations

from the Animoby blog:

AniMoby is an app for iPads that allows users to record voice while using design tools on an interactive whiteboard. This combination makes AniMoby the perfect product for the creation of user-friendly presentations and lessons - which teachers can send to any student with internet connection to view anytime, anywhere. Unlike other interactive whiteboard apps, AniMoby does not use video file formats – so file sizes are small and can be saved/shared with ease.AniMoby also features a clipart library designed to help teachers make lessons. Two versions of AniMoby are available – AniMobyPro and AniMobyStandard. AniMoby Pro provides the most enhanced AniMoby experience, and includes unlimited recording durations and access to a larger library of templates and clipart. In theProVersion, animations can also be sent privately to others, and use of the app is free of advertisements.
In the Standard version, recordings are limited to two minutes, the template\clipart library is limited, and advertisements will be featured. AniMoby Pro is now being offered for a one-time payment of $7.99.
