Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda and Chinese Deputy Agriculture Minister Niu Dun met on Wednesday to discuss cooperation in agriculture between Tajikistan and China.

Tajikistan and China have been discussing ways to boost agriculture in their countries. The two countries have come to a conclusion, that an 'alliance' between the two would benefit them both. This is a wise move by Tajikistan, considering that they are trying to recover from a world wide recession. A partnership with a strong country like china could help Tajikistan stabilize its economy.

A project in Tajikistan is providing a boost to the local economy while reducing the risk of disaster.

Since 2010, Tajikistan has experienced high flood rates. Homes and buisness, public parks, and back yards have been ravaged by these floods. Now a plant has been reopened to grind gravel and prevent flooding. Not only has this created jobs, but the reopening of the plant required purchases from local businesses. Overall the reopening of this plant has sent a surge through the economy, and projects like this are what Tajikistan needs to pull itself out of this rut.
