Namibia is up to its neck in rare species of animals - The Journal News / Lohud.com | Syrria | Scoop.it
Namibia is up to its neck in rare species of animals!Almost 20 percent is managed by 79 communal conservancies, self-governing entities that manage their wildlife for the benefit of their tribal communities.
Via planwithdan
Hunter Groom's insight:
What kind of animal or species is this. Is this animal land or water on the coast of Africa. If this animal was located in the water it would be hard for it to survive because of the great whites and species of sharks on the very coast of Africa. Hope to find out of this animal is a new nice species

Hunter Groom's insight:
Where is this bridge located in the world? Also the pillers reach probably about 1000 feet or less under the ocean floor..... And it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to cross it acros this huge bay. Also this looks like it isn't that long of a bridge but it is actually twice as long as you thing this enormous bridge is.

I'm personally not a big fan of smoking but this is better for people that do it. This new electric smoker probably Is a lot more healthy than the older and others ones. I will never smoke but people who do should clearly use this instead of the lame lung cancer other one. And that's my opinion about this subject.

The Curse of Petroleum, Chemical-Based Industrial Farm Fertilizers

The Curse of Petroleum, Chemical-Based Industrial Farm Fertilizers | Syrria | Scoop.it
MAY 2013 National Geographic▶ OUR FERTILIZED WORLDIf we don’t watch out, agriculture could destroy our planet. Here’s how to grow all the food we need with fewer chemicals.N. Nitrogen. Atomic number seven. Unnoticed, untasted, it nevertheless fills our stomachs. It is the engine of agriculture, the key to plenty in our crowded, hungry world.Enter modern chemistry. Giant factories capture inert nitrogen gas from the vast stores in our atmosphere and force it into a chemical union with the hydrogen in natural gas, creating the reactive compounds that plants crave. That nitrogen fertilizer—more than a hundred million tons applied worldwide every year—fuels bountiful harvests.Yet this modern miracle exacts a price. Runaway nitrogen is suffocating wildlife in lakes and estuaries, contaminating groundwater, and even warming the globe’s climate. As a hungry world looks ahead to billions more mouths needing nitrogen-rich protein, how much clean water and air will survive our demand for fertile fields?... http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2013/05/fertilized-world/charles-text WATCH Emmy Award Winning 1 hr Film - University of Minnesota ▶ "TROUBLED WATERS: A MISSISSIPPI RIVER STORY" ▶ This excellent one hour documentary examines the "unintended consequences" of farming practices on water quality, soil loss and the "dead zone" in the Gulf of Mexico.
