UK: the Government is contemplating a shake-up of family law including plans to give better rights to separating dads. 

 

Family expert Karen Woodall says: "Every man and every woman in the land should be on both sides of this fence because this is not a gender war, it is a debate about how to change the law so that children have meaningful relationships with both parents."

He was wrongly accused of domestic violence, investigated by social services, arrested, put on trial and found not guilty on December 2011. A restraining order was requested but denied, and he was awarded all costs....

Joel Wiggins says there's nothing more important than the bond between a dad and his daughters. He launched the Triangle Father Daughter Dance in 2007. Other than a handful of volunteers, mums are not allowed.

 

More than 1,000 men and their daughters attend the event - as well as girls without dads in their lives. Wiggins recommends dads look within their own circle of friends and contacts to find girls without fathers in their own lives.

 

He'd love to see more dads step up to include these girls in some of their outings with their own daughters......

Israel has revoked a sexist law granting automatic custody to mothers in divorce on the recommendation of the UN. Women's rights campaign acknowledge the law is sexist but oppose the move saying "only when true equality exists between the sexes in Israel will we be able to discuss canceling this law......"
