Sonny Rowe's insight:

I chose this article, because they talk about how the content downloaded rather than streamed, usually comes out a lot more clearer. Streaming vs. Downloading - what's the difference (legally speaking)?

It's been a busy first quarter so far. As many of you know, earlier this year, the famed website Megaupload went down, unleashing a fury of angry film and music downloaders (as well as advertisers).
Sonny Rowe's insight:

I chose this article, because the author had a funny way of describing streaming and downloading music. The author compares streaming music to a shower and downloading it to a bathtub. When streaming the music, we only use it for a short period of time, like standing in the shower, the water flows over you and goes down the drain to be reused just like the music. When downloading the music, we hold on to it as long as we want. Until, we think we have gotten the most out of it, then we can discard of it, just like the water in the tub.

Sonny Rowe's insight:

In this article, the author goes through the Pros and Cons of streaming and downloading music. Some Pros to streaming the music are that it is very cheap to get and you have access to millions of songs. Some Cons to streaming music are that you don't actually own any of the music and you are limited to what artists the streaming service carries. I had a music streaming service on my PS3 and they didn't have any TOOL! Pros for downloading are you can use the content whenever you like and it is forever yours. Cons are downloading can be very costly at a dollar a track. It all comes down to whether or not you are a collector or just a listener.

Love how the Pros and Cons of streaming and downloading are explained in music. Pros to streaming music are that it cost little to nothing. When streaming music you do not own any of the music. Some artist are not available on some streaming services. I like downloading music because it is actually mines.

Sonny Rowe's insight:

I chose this article, because it describes what streaming video is and then goes into how streaming differs from downloading. The main difference between the 2 is that, streaming isn't actually stored to your device, but downloading it is.
