I personally believe music sharing sites like soundcloud are growing the industry as a whole. Todays society consists of many different technologies such as; smartphones, tablets, iPods, and computers that enable us to browse and stream the internet on a regular basis. Therefore, music sharing sites are a great way to engage with consumers because streaming and purchasing music is literally in the palm of there hands.

Physical music sales are decreasing and digital purchases and downloads are increasing. People are turning to this route due to the fact that you can purchase a single song instead of the entire album and not to mention it's available anywhere and everywhere.
