Don't let the title fool you: there is actual lore here, as to why vampires hate garlic, and root veggies in general, --it's fascinating. Not just vampires but blood-drinking insects also, and garlic has certain effects on the blood.


Garlic has various medicinal properties and it even has its own phobia: "alliumphobia". Did any of you guys see anything here you didn't already know? I mean, if nothing else, this makes me want to put garlic and onions in my garden this spring.
