There's a new theory of how to improve your well-being called PERMA.  This stands for Positive emotions, Engagement, positive Relationships, Meaning and Accomplishment.  The purpose of this is to increase human flourishing, not just happiness.

Science is always advancing and coming up with new theories, and this is another one of the recent studies they have done for positive psychology.
