All Cells come from cells is a basic principle of biology. It offers repairing tissue and making organs that is going through extensive medical research.  Stem cells are not specific to making any type of cell but are capable to make any cell that is needed for the body.  Embryonic cell can become any type of cell compared to adult cells because adult cells can only do certain specialized cells and cant be molded to make any cell that a person may need.  Scientists are currently trying to find a way to take cells are are currently in a human body and transform them into embryonic cells so they can use then to treat the patient with whatever cell is necessary to the recovery of the patient. This is a very great scientific explaination of what stem cells do and how important they are going to be in the future of modern medicine begins to take off.  It does a great job really explaining what stem cells do and there function in the human body to keep us going with constantly new cells being made throughout the human body.

Stem cells are being used in a variety from Parkinson’s disease, type 1 diabetes, heart disease, spinal cord injury, Duchene’s muscular dystrophy, Alzheimer’s disease, strokes, burns, rheumatoid arthritis, vision, and hearing loss are the major things scientists have been pushing most of there efforts toward making stem cells a valuable treatment option for people.  They are also hope to use stem cells to tissue from disease or injury.  It is hard for someone to say that they would oppose stem cell research with all the good that it can do for diseased or injured person.  When you have the ability to save so many lives with new medical advances, wouldn't it be unethical not to allow someone to choose if they wanted this treatment to potentially save there life once the science is definitive. Without a doubt stem cells are going to be the next big thing in medicine to treat people when all they have to do is put cells in your body to create tissue or to destroy bad tissue.

Harvard Scientists have discovered a new way to engineer stem cells to secrete cancer killing toxins.  They first used it on mice that had brain tumors and they had the cells target and destroy the bad cancerous cells in the tumor.  It has had amazing results so far and have now found a way to engineer the cells to make and release cancer killing drugs that are toxin resistant.  Many scientists have agreed this new find in the use of stem cell technology can be the new way doctors will treat patients with cancer.  This is another way stem cells show there versatility in medicine and treatment plans.  This new find also shows us there are many possibility stem cells give us that we don't know about.

In this news article some researchers were giving a once in a lifetime look at twins where one twin has Parkinson's and one doesn't.  So researchers have had the opportunity to watch the process of how Parkinson's develops in cells and in knowing the process of how it starts they could take out the infected cells that Parkinson's targets and replace them with stem cells that they cultured to swap with the damaged cells. Stem cells have a lot of uses to help minimize or potentially getting rid of Parkinson's in a person. It shows the versitility of stem cells

 This blog by the University of California San Francisco consists of an idea of using a biochemical to turn the clock back on the life of a cell and taking a permanent skin cell and making it into a stem cell.  With this new process they can make cellular regeneration possible by taking existing cells in the arm or leg and changing them to stem cell and then specialize those new stem cells into the necessary cell.   The blog focuses on reprogramming cell through gene activity in adult/permanent cells in the human body.  People with amnesia or have lost there memory could have brain tissue regenerated through stem cells and all the positive things it offers.

 Ultimately the purpose behind stem cells is to develop therapies to repair bodily injuries and cure diseases by inserting cells into the body and having them grow into the necessary tissue or organ that is needed.  Having cells make natural tissue and organs in a persons body could be a huge way to heal people that were in major car accidents or soldiers coming back from war.  Making natural tissue rather then taking already existing tissue from another part of the body and place it elsewhere on the body.  To make the cell produce a high amount of new daughter cells they trick the cell into thinking it is an embryo, and produce pluripotent cells. These cells don't have extra DNA and they don't have to destroy any embryos to do this research. Once they are able to effectively apply the use of stem cells towards medicine it will change the way they treat a lot of different medical issues.

Vision loss is a growing problem for typically 40 and up have a problem with loss of vision with increasing age.  Ocular degeneration is the common cause of the eye loss and there is no current treatment option to this disease.  Currently stem cells have been going through the testing phase and has shown great promise to reversing the affects of ocular degeneration.  For the procedure they detach the retina and put 3 drops of retinal pigment epithelium to stimulate growth of the retina cells by using embryonic stem cells.  There are so many good things stem cells have to offer to advances in the field of medicine.

This book goes through some of the great therapies that stem cell research offers.  Now that embryonic cells are not the only way they find stem cells and applying stem cells as a therapy or regime for someone to go through instead of pills or some kind of radiation like what they do for cancer patients, Chemotherapy. Scientists discover that in skin cells have a very short life expectancy, thus they discovered that stem cells under the skin have a extreme capability to reproduce daughter cells and constantly repair the surface of the skin and when we get cuts to heal our body.

The picture I choose is in the Wikipedia page under the treatment section.  It shows all the of the uses that stem cell research could help benefit anything from brain damage to Alzheimer to wound healing.  The picture is directed toward people that may not approve of the options stem cell research offers and it shows some of the great ways we could optimize the potential behind this new practice.  The picture demonstrates all the good things stem cells can be used for from making new tissue to killing bad tissue.

Stem cells are cells that can be specialized into whatever type of cell the body needs blood, heart, or even brain cells.  This video demonstrates the importance stem cells can have on a variety of diseases or burns a human can get.  Use stem cells to replace cancer cells and make them specialized to perform the job of the damaged cell.  This shows the impact stem cells can have on the lives of people in positive ways by changing the way we deal with cancer.  Also if people get burns they can use stem cells to replace the epidermis on the top of the skin by culturing the cells and specializing these cells until they have enough and place these new cells on the skin.
