Convinced that not enough is known about the transformation of the non-BA economy or about how workers without BAs can leverage economic opportunity, we explore the job market for these workers and focus on good jobs which are shown to have median earnings of $55,000.

If we have good jobs and careers that do not require a BA then we should have school systems that prepare students for career opportunities not just university entrance requirements.

A system approach requires state level leadership!

Although the decline in the manufacturing economy eliminated many good jobs for high school graduates, there are still 30 million good jobs in the U.S. that pay well without a BA. These good jobs have median earnings of $55,000 and are changing from traditional blue-collar industries to skilled-services industries.
