It is astounding to see the levels of sexually transmitted disease has doubled since 2008. although the article was stating that the main people getting STIs are in the ages between 20 and 29, it is good to know the risks there are and the ways that modern society has to deal with them and prevent them from occurring.

ONLY 5 per cent of Australians are able to identify safe drinking levels and young people particularly think they can drink far more than is good for them, a national survey shows.
The Centre for Alcohol Policy Research has found that, apart from the 95 per cent of people unable to say what are safe drinking levels, 50 per cent could not even give an estimate of hazard-free alcohol intake...

This article showed and astounded me with the statistic of how many Australians are able to identify safe drinking (5%) and 50% of people can't estimate hazard-free alcohol intake. this article also provides some information about safe drinking and the safe limits of drinking.

One-third of teens and nearly half of 17-year-olds attend house parties where parents are present and teens are drinking, smoking marijuana, or using cocaine or other illicit drugs...

Girls 12 to 17 are at equal or higher risk for substance abuse than boys of the same age... 

By the time a teen turns 17, nearly half (46 percent) will have gone to a party where teens were drinking alcohol, smoking pot or using cocaine or other drugs with a parent in the house...

this articles supports the fact that many teenagers have been participating in drug use and excessive alcohol. it also provides the fact that a party doesn't have to be all about taking drugs, getting drunk and sleeping with any girl you meet.
