This discusses the affects of gender and racial discrimination in sports. As coaches the ethical implications regarding this topics are a priority. No player should experience discrimination, the best player at the time should play. Every person can contribute to the success of the team and that is not limited to the physical feature of that person. Ethical decisions to play a certain player need to be based on merit and potential contribution to the team.

This was a controversial incident that exhibited a obscure rule infraction that is commonly accepted by both teams in cricket. However this incident made headlines because the runner was violating the rule about not backing up. The decision by the player to back up is one that is commonly accepted by all players but is not a legal maneuver in the sport. Though I do not fully understand the call I understand that the moral standard of the players contradicts the professional ethics of the game. When it is not accepted by both parties conflicts can arise because of the clear violation of game rules.

Franz Beckenbauer and the resulting suspension from soccer activities for 90 days suggests that he is unwilling to cooperate with the FIFA Ethics committee. This is in response to the awarding of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar. His responses were requested but he failed to provide any information on the subject. He was treating the situation as a joke and not a serious subject. His practices show that his standards for conduct and cooperation with official FIFA representatives are not in line with the professional code of ethics among the executives.
