7 Wonderful iPad Apps to Learn about Human Body in 3D ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning

7 Wonderful iPad Apps to Learn about Human Body in 3D ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | Sport PASE Health Website Resources Australian Curriculum | Scoop.it

"Technology has radically revolutionized the human science and provided us with profound insights that were not knowable to us before. It has also cracked the dark secrets of some key scientific concepts that mystified the human mind since the dawn of time. The physiology of the body and body anatomy are some of these key areas that have benefited a great deal from the advancement of technology. Consequently, the teaching of these concepts have become way easier and more attainable. In this regard, developers now have designed so many apps that examine the human body in 3D."

iPad App Smashing for Sports Coaching | iPad Insight

iPad App Smashing for Sports Coaching | iPad Insight | Sport PASE Health Website Resources Australian Curriculum | Scoop.it

"App Smashing is the process of combining content in one or more apps together for a creative and effective outcome. App smashing can make the iPad a powerful aid in sports coaching and other mediums.

As any cricket geek knows, the season is about to start. I’ve been playing, and more specifically, bowling, for about 25 years (the less said about my batting the better) and I have a fairly well grooved bowling action. As any sportsperson will know, there is always room for improvement and this pre-season, I turned to my iPad to help me tweek my bowling technique."

This is an amazing resource where you can roll mouse over the human anatomy to
investigate particular body parts, male and female, look inside each part and
rotate it through 360 degrees.  You can search for a specific part, and once you

"This truly innovative mobile app allows users to turn their device into a speed camera and see exactly  how fast they kick a football. The app guides your through the process of setting up the kick so that the app is capable of accurate detection. You will firstly start by selecting if you are right or left footed and then the app provides a frame overlay that you must position the ball over your resting soccer ball. Once setup its all up to the kicker and the app to track the overall speed, angle and estimated kick distance. It even records your kick and replays it back to you in super slow motion."

Craig Crossley's curator insight, July 25, 2013 10:14 PM

As mentioned in a blog post earlier this year, this incredible app makes it possible to easily tag video and produce what is essentially a highlight montage. Essentially the user plays back recorded video and taps the screen when interesting events occur, tagging them with an associated keyword. On completion users can review the tagged events by keyword and export directly to the camera roll. Brilliant.
