Chivas Regal 12 YO Unveils “Made for Gentlemen” Limited Edition Gift Pack by Tim Little

Pernod Ricard’s luxurious whisky Chivas Regal 12 YO launches a new creative initiative— the annual collaborations with famous people of art and craft aimed to create limited-edition series of packaging inspired by gentlemen style, masculinity and craftsmanship called ‘Made for Gentlemen’. The brand has debuted the first collaboration of this kind with British luxury shoe designer Tim Little, the owner and creative director of a male shoe brand Grenson, who designed a collectible tin featuring a stylish deconstruction of classic English leather shoes.

Appealing to predominantly male customer base, new limited edition Chivas Regal 12 YO by Tim Little is set to be sold on more than 60 international markets from September 2012. The RRP in the UK is set at £25.39.

Tim Little comments on the collaboration, “Men today appreciate luxury that stands the test of time. For me, this collaboration is about bringing together rich heritage and stories, experts in craftsmanship who make products special and memorable for men. I love the fact that the tin stands out and the deconstructed elements of the iconic brogue, really enjoying a style revival at the moment, are instantly recognisable.”

Chivas Regal Has Launched The Chivas Brothers’ Blend for Travel Retail

Chivas Regal Has Launched The Chivas Brothers’ Blend for Travel Retail | Spirits, | Scoop.it

Chivas Regal has launched The Chivas Brothers’ Blend to be distributed exclusively to the global travel retail channel.

Since the Chivas Regal 25 Year Old relaunch in 2007, this is the first product launch for the brand and it’s inspired by brothers, John and James Chivas who founded Chivas Brothers’ Emporium in the mid-1800s. Those days the company was selling fine foods and whiskies in Aberdeen, today it’s an international company with a presence on 150 markets around the world.

The Chivas Brothers’ Blend is a 12 years old blend made of selected range of malt whiskies. It contains high proportions of Strathisla and Longmorn malts, which give it an extra smooth taste. The whisky boasts of a rich amber color and ripe soft fruit flavors such as peach and pear as well as an accent of runny honey, marmalade and soft candy.

The Chivas Brothers’ Blend bottle is packed in a carton box of purple color with the etched Chivas Regal family crest on the bottle.

To ignite travelers’ curiosity, the company has developed the global Travel Retail teaser campaign ‘A New Arrival from Chivas.’ Consumers will be able to experience an original product activation involving out-of-store theatre, digital interaction, and innovative consumer engagement.

James Slack, Global Brand Director, Chivas Regal, said, ‘Chivas Regal product focuses on our heritage of craftsmanship blended with a modern twist. The result is an ultra-smooth whisky for today’s travellers who are looking not only for brand innovation but also an experience. The Chivas Brothers’ Blend is the ultimate whisky to share.’

ABSOLUT Questions the Basics of Art and Establishes Award for Writers

ABSOLUT Questions the Basics of Art and Establishes Award for Writers | Spirits, | Scoop.it

This year the executive creative body of ABSOLUT VODKA company, Absolut Art Bureau, has partnered with the quinquennial exhibition of modern and contemporary art dOCUMENTA (13), which has taken place from June 9 to September 16 in Kassel, Germany, as well as become a sponsor and supporter of another art event Art 43 Basel in Switzerland.

As a Patron of the event, ABSOLUT has supported the Maybe Center for Conviviality and unveiled a new unique meeting place there —a new arty hub called the Absolut Maybe Bar. The space was designed by two modern artists Ryan Gander and Mario García Torres who also shared interest in mixology.

Another Absolut bar called The Kirlian (or simply the Abosolut Art Bar) was presented this summer at another artistic venue Art 43 Basel in Switzerland, which Absolut will be sponsoring for the next three years. The concept of the bar was created by Canadian-born Berlin artist Jeremy Shaw who used, as he describes it, a photographic technique that exposes the magnetic field, or “aura” of the depicted object.
