As the final death toll of the Bangladesh factory collapse reached 1,126 last week, a small section of the second floor of a shoe factory in Cambodia gave way.

C: 80% of garment workers are employed through short term contracts

C: 88% of factories were violating limits on overtime

C: 55% were not providing safe drinking water

Rm: Exploiting factories and retailers

Rc: Bargin-hunting consumers

Concussions: What You Should Know

Annie Williams's insight:

D: More dangerous in childeren than adults becuase their brains are still developing
G: First start out with walking, and then slow jogging

G: There is no standard timeline for resuming physical activity

G: If there is no dizziness or headache than you can resume more active sports

G: Get an initial rest period then some activity is good for the brain

G: Students may have to drop some easier classes that will be easier to resume after a break

C: In Bangladesh there is a total disregard for humna life

S: going to the place with the lowest possible cost has to change

Rc: consumers don't care where they are buying things from and they need to start getting information to make decisions

Rm: The factories are not built ssafley enough

C: Buliding fire, collapses and other things have killed hundreds

High school athletes are more at risk of concussions than their collegiate counterparts, a study finds.

D: Some college student are more dedicated so they wont report as often if they have symptoms

D: Little evidence that helmets and equipment actually imporve your saftey

D: After suffering one concussion you are more likley to experience another

G: Reporting when you have symptoms

S: Stronger data collection

S: Better diagnosis for concussions in young people

S: More studies on long term affects of repetitive head trauma

S: Possible rule changes to make sports safer

S: Reasearch on how the time between concussions affects the brain

S: Increasing efforts of reporting symptoms and concussions
