People-first, digital by default approach delivers savings for Newham

There are now 70,000 residents registered with My Newham, more than 600,000 enquiries have been handled since May 2011, and over half of all transactions with Newham now take place via online self-service - any time of day or night.

As of October 2014, 41% of all transactions took place out of normal working hours. Such significant channel shift has led to a reduction in face-to-face contact by over a third, with the accompanying savings benefit.
