Let's Learn About Canada's Regions!

Hello Grade 4s!

Today we will be learning about Canada's regions. (If you recall from our discussion yesterday, a region is a land mass that is defined by certain physical characteristics such as climate, soil type, vegetations etc.). Canada has seven physical regions:

   - Western Cordilleras
   - Interior Plains
   - The Arctic Lowlands
   - Canadian Shield
   - Hudson Bay Lowlands
   - Great Lakes - St. Lawrence Lowlands
   - Appalachians

Below, you will notice that I have collected information on each physical region. We will be using these sites, videos, and presentations to learn about Canada's regions.

The different regions are ordered from West to East, beginning with the Western Cordilleras and ending with the Appalachians. Follow the numbered webpages to learn about each region. When you're finished, play the game to wrap up what you've learned!
