Most salespeople are sold on the power of LinkedIn. They keep their profiles in tip-top shape, look up their prospects' profiles before calling or emailing, and keep close tabs on what potential customers post in groups. Reps also know how to search for prospects and narrow the results down by industry, company, location, and other specifications.

In other words, they have the basics of prospecting on LinkedIn down.

But what if these strategies aren't yielding enough relevant prospects? While search is the most logical place to look for new opportunities, it's not the only method. Use the following eight ideas to find new prospects on LinkedIn when search isn't cutting it.

Jeg er helt enig i denne fremgangsmåde - det er vigtigt, hvis du vil have succes med social selling - at du tager dig tid til, at møde dine kontakter offline - mennesker handler med mennesker - du kan bruge med fordel bruge de sociale medier til at skabe og vedligeholde kontakten - når du mødes med andre mennesker - har du mange flere ting at spille på- eks - dit og den andens kropssprog - er der kemi osv. 

Min erfaring siger mig - at succesraten ved at bruge de social medier til at skabe en god relation - og derefter mødes fysisk - den er kraftigt stigende - især hvis man måler det i forhold til kanvassalg pr. telefon.

Jeg har lige prøvet den nye funktion fra Evernote, hvor man kan tage et billede af et visitkort.

Dels bliver alle oplysningerne på personen gemt de rigtige steder, er man hooket up, kan man se LinkedIn profilen med det samme, er man ikke hooket up, kan man sende en invitation direkte fra Evernote, ret smart...

Og og og, så har Evernote lavet en mulighed for at lave et notat på personen, eks. hvor man har mødt ham, en ting som man ikke har på LinkedIn i forvejen

Last year, Microsoft bought LinkedIn for $26.2 billion, but even though the acquisition has long closed, Microsoft hasn’t yet done much with all of the data it gets from the social network. At its Ignite conference in Orlando, Florida, the company announced some first steps in integrating LinkedIn’s social graph with its Office products.

Now don’t get too excited yet. What we’re talking about here is the integration of LinkedIn data with Office 365 profile cards. So assuming you don’t know much about your professional contacts and colleagues yet, you can now see more information about them right in Office 365 without having to go to their LinkedIn profiles (and potentially showing up as that one person who looked at their LinkedIn profile that week, which will surely trigger yet another LinkedIn email for them).

Unfortunately, too many organizations think that LinkedIn Sales Navigator alone, will lead their sales and marketing teams toward more leads, sales conversations and revenues. In fact, one of the world’s largest software companies called LinkedIn Sales Navigator and the training they provide their “social selling strategy.”

But, all the “lead suggestions” and insights won’t help if you don’t have the right messages, the right content and the right approach to enable sales using LinkedIn. If you don’t have a customer development strategy or process – then you can’t have revenue performance management where you optimize your LinkedIn marketing and social selling efforts to meet sales opportunity and revenue objectives.

You see, LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a great platform that’s worth the investment because it can make your sales and marketing teams more effective. But it’s still just a tool (one piece of the puzzle.)  You cannot just give your sales team LinkedIn Sales Navigator (and the training they provide) and expect to get anything more than just reach.
