I'm not sure whether to be in awe or alarmed at the above stats? In terms of sociology it seems people are in desperate need, if not crave, social stimuli. The irony of this profound interconnectedness is the lack of human interaction or emotion. The best we can hope for are three characters put together to emulate a very false pretense of what the other human is legitimately feeling. 8-( The upside is that while we now live online a large portion of our inner selves also lives online. What does this mean? Thanks to data mining the amount of information we've now shared about ourselves can be collected to form the best marketing strategy that truly demolishes any previous conceived notion of the human psyche. We are ultimately begging companies to utilize this data to sell us year on year things we never needed to begin with. The future of marketing starts right here, right now. The analytics of social media is paving the way for the age of online consumerism.
