The most mysterious and popular recent swag bag is the one from the Aspen Ideas Festival 2013 that was held in the end of June. My favorite give away was the chocolate bar. See  http://alisonsart.com/2013/06/some-positive-notes-fortoday-from-alisons-art-online-magazine/

The Mastermind Group as a Success Strategy

The Mastermind Group as a Success Strategy | Social Net Working | Scoop.it

The Mastermind concept is one of the most important keys to real estate investment business success; unfortunately it’s a concept that is often overlooked by real estate investment professionals and one that could, and should, be implemented as a core principle to live by when investing and building business.

The mastermind concept is hardly a new one. The philosophy was first introduced in the famous book, Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. In the book, Hill described the concept of the mastermind group as, “the coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people who work toward a definite purpose in the spirit of harmony” Written at the behest of Andrew Carnegie, business giants and great thinkers like Carnegie, Henry Ford and Thomas Edison all utilized the concept of mastermind groups to help leverage their ideas, opinions, information, influence, affluence, education along with those of others, to accomplish their goals.

No More Networking Meetings

No More Networking Meetings | Social Net Working | Scoop.it

Networking meetings, why do we go to them? Why? Because someone told us when we started out in business to network, network, network. It seemed like a good idea. Hand out your business cards, get a bunch of other people's business cards, follow up and referrals will come pouring in.

Right? Wrong? All too often you end up never calling the people you met, maybe except for (single guys) that cute copy saleswoman who approached you by the cracker and cheese plate. And referrals, did you give any? No. Because other than some small talk about the weather and the "my name is.. I sell...you really don't know any of these people well enough to stake your hard-earned reputation on making a referral to them. Guess what? They feel the same way about you.

Take Your Business To The Next Level

Take Your Business To The Next Level | Social Net Working | Scoop.it

You know the saying that “2 heads are better than one” – well what about if you had access to 10 heads?

Running your own business can be a lonely and frustrating experience and, whilst the buck ultimately stops with you, you don’t always have the solutions to the day to day problems that running a business throws at you.

A MasterMind group provides you with access to a peer network and an experienced business advisor and facilitator (that’s me!), that helps you grow your business and get valuable advice to help you deal with the issues that land on your desk.

'Mastermind' your way to Success

'Mastermind' your way to Success | Social Net Working | Scoop.it

“Two Heads are Better than One”… John Heywood

A dollar for a dollar is an even exchange, but a thought for a thought is a powerful multiplier for all involved. The ‘Mastermind’ concept is a time tested and highly effective way to inject creative thinking and strategies that can help you and your business to succeed.

So what is a ‘Mastermind’ group anyhow?

Simply put, a mastermind is a group of 2 or more people who share common objectives and have decided to leverage the principle that two heads are better than one. A mastermind allows us to draw on the insights and knowledge of complementary skills and experiences that our group can willingly provide. It is a simple yet powerful concept that can be a key part of your success strategy.

Mastermind Your Way to Business Success (Audio)

Mastermind Your Way to Business Success (Audio) | Social Net Working | Scoop.it

I’m a big believer in mastermind programs and success teams. A business mastermind success team is a group of entrepreneurs or business owners who get together to support each other in growing their business, in moving through stuck places, and in brainstorming ideas for new opportunities.

If you’re a business owner you may notice how easy it is to get stuck in the details of running your business and how hard it is to stay focused on the big picture of where you want your business to go. If we don’t get support and feedback from other people who know us and our business well, it’s almost impossible for us to see how and where we’re getting stuck. We don’t often take the opportunity to step outside our business, take an objective viewpoint, and reconnect with our vision.
