Russian television channel, TNT has only 1.3 million daily viewers compared to 2.2 million daily users to Vkontakte. Apparently, Vkontakte’s success is coming from the growing popularity of mobile devices. There are many young Russians using mobile devices as a main source to get news rather than watching TV. This applied to all the young age group people not only happened in the Russia but also in America. Social networks are using its power to bring attention to everyone when someone shares a photo or a video. I believe that these social media keeps people connected in ways where people can really spread the word out.
