Snapchat seems to be  hitting an advertising sweet spot between "not enough information to make big money" and "a scary amount of information that makes big money" by partnering with Oracle Data Cloud, targeting consumers by advertising based on consumers offline purchases and loyal reward programs they are part of. 

CEO of Snapchat, Evan Spiegel said "We're going to stay away from building really extensive profiles on people because that's just bad and doesn't feel very good" . By using limited information and not creating individual profiles on each customer, Snapchat will be able to advertise to the right target audience without scaring them away.
