10 things you have to know about SEO & social media in 2016 - Memeburn | Marketing, social medias & related topics | Scoop.it

There is a misunderstanding about how social media and SEO work together, whilst we know that social media does affect the search rank, nobody seems to understand how. Social visibility is only achieved by being active, engagement is key, but creating and posting great content that shares quickly is also only half the job done. One cannot simply schedule standardised posts to go out across all social networks.

The SEO and Social Media discipline is not just about creating and posting great content, it’s about promoting that content so that it achieves the results we are looking for. Consider the following when thinking about your social media and how to derive the best SEO value from it....

Difference Between Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing and SEO

Difference Between Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing and SEO | Marketing, social medias & related topics | Scoop.it

Let’s make one thing very clear right from the start: Social Media Marketing does not equal Content Marketing and Content Marketing does not equal SEO. If you think that: Online Marketing and even anything related to online business is simply not for you.

The reason why I decided to write this post is that there are too many so called marketers running around in our industry that not only mix these up – they are mixing these up on purpose.

Their purpose is to rip off those who don’t know about the differences between these areas and sell one-stop solutions to victims that don’t know better. If this post can prevent even one of these sales from happening I have achieved my goal.

Yes, these three areas are related but no, they are not the same!...

(From the article): Social media marketing could prove highly advantageous for the business growth of an e-commerce store. However, it requires proper planning and daily attention. Online stores should create their social media profiles and try to build a friendly relationship with customers. An effective social media campaign requires strategic planning that can maximize the business advantages for an online store.

It’s important to learn about your target audience before planning the social ads. You need to make sure that the ad copy is relevant and engaging and is aimed at your potential customers. With a proper call to action, your ad on social media will increase your sales and your e-commerce venture will become successful.

Rebecca Pereira's curator insight, October 2, 2014 1:29 AM

The article discusses the benefits a company can receive from advertising their products through social media. These benefits include advertising to a wider reach, building brand awareness and engaging with consumers on a more person level. Personally i think this is one of the most efficient forms of advertising today as it allows companies to build relationships with their consumers which leads to creating loyal consumers for the future rather than focusing solely on selling a product once.

Shoko Aikawa's curator insight, October 3, 2014 1:02 AM

Yea, I agree with that social media platform easily reach to the target audience, and it can be a great tool to encourage a product and service through promotion on the sites.
