Google Plus was launched in 2011 it is a social networking platform for discovering and sharing digital content with friends, family and coworkers. It is similar to social media sites like twitter and facebook because it allows you to be social and communicate. It allows you to share content, posts, and video chat. It is different because it brings people together within the context of many google services such as google chrome, and Gmail. It also has other differences such as you are not restricted to short posts, each Google Plus post has a dedicated URL that can appear in a google search. Google Plus has a ‘What’s Hot’ list of content which can boost your posts so others can see your content. A person has the option to make their posts only visible to those in their circle, Google Plus and YouTube are linked. And lastly, using Google Ripples you can see the activity on any post.

Myspace was founded in August 2003 by employees of eUniverse, an internet marketing company. The creators were Chris DeWolfe, Brad Greenspan, Tom Anderson and Josh Berman. Tom Anderson would later become president and Chris DeWolfe would become CEO. In 2004 Myspace was officially launched and exactly one month later they reached 1 million users. By November the site reached 5 million users. In July of 2006 Hitwise reported that Myspace beat Google Search and Yahoo! Mail to become the most visited website in the United States. And one month earlier, Myspace accounted for 80% of all traffic to social networking sites. In December 2008 Myspace reached its peak with 75.9 million unique users.

You can share pictures and videos from your business, as well as allowing you to post text, Facebook lets you upload pictures and videos from your business. This can be a powerful way to communicate with customers and potential customers, allowing them to see your product or service without having to visit your premises.

BlogSpot reaches a wide range of people, the most active are younger people. Bloggers from the ages of 21-35 account for 53.3% of users. This group is followed by people 20 or under, they account for 20.2% of users. People from ages 36-50 account for 19.4%, and 51 years or older 7.1%. The difference between genders is about the same women making up 50.9% and males 49.1% of bloggers. The internet can be accessed all across the world making BlogSpot a global site. Most bloggers are from the U.S which is 29.2% percent of its users. The second closes country is the U.K., which has 6.75% of bloggers.

Foursquare is a site that helps you and your friends make the most of where you are. When you're out with friends or family, you can use Foursquare to share and save the places you visit. If you’re feeling adventurous and looking for somewhere new to go Foursquare can give you recommendations based on where you, and people with similar interests have been. Foursquare was first launched in Austin, Texas in March of 2009.

This platform is very unique, with over 45 million users looking for places to go businesses can become very popular within the Foursquare community. Within the site there is about 93% of storefronts with local channels on Foursquare.
