Wonder whether your brand should be on Instagram, and why?

Morgan Lefkof's curator insight, October 12, 2014 11:08 PM

This article discusses the importance of Instagram for businesses. Adding Instagram to your social marketing mix can increase online reach and attract new business. The article explains how to start your business’ Instagram and gives recommendations on meaningful social media campaigns. The next part of the article gives some information about Instagram. It was launched in October 2010 and was bought by Facebook in April 2012. Instagram members can share photos and videos using the phone application or the online site. The next portion of the article discusses why a brand should be on Instagram. Around 200 million people and 75% of brands already have Instagram accounts. It is now one of the largest social media platforms. With these high numbers, there is a chance that your brand is already being mentioned on Instagram.

I believe that Instagram is a very big contender in social media. As the article stated, this platform is growing and will continue to gain more members. I know some people who check their Instagram more than their Facebook. When completing our social media audit, I noticed that some businesses lack presence with Instagram. Businesses should read this article to see how beneficial it is to have an Instagram account.

Google Analytics: How to Set Up Basic Goals

Google Analytics: How to Set Up Basic Goals | Social Media | Scoop.it

Google Analytics goal tracking provides site owners and marketers with good information about how visitors are using and interacting with pages and content. This information may ultimately help businesses earn more.

In the ecommerce context, it is important to make a distinction between goal tracking and ecommerce tracking in Google Analytics. The latter monitors actual ecommerce transactions and requires relatively more integration with an ecommerce platform. The former, which is this article’s focus, monitors how visitors interact with a site in four general ways.
