Safety of Performers and Crew members in the Live Production Industry: Human Error
For my topic, I chose to focus on the rising concern for Performers and Crewmember safety in highly technical shows. This intrigued me very much because the main reason for a push was because of the accident that occurred at Cirque Du Soleil’s KA in Las Vegas. It is known that robots, but humans are not pulling performers on harnesses and lifts. It brings the discussion if the accidents were human error or faulty equipment. With this, it could definitely change the way high risk performances are made and debuted, especially for Cirque Du Soleil’s Company.
