Alee Dedrick's curator insight, January 6, 2014 12:21 AM

This article is useful in seeing which colleges will make your education worth the investment. I applied to one school in the top 200 of Return of Investment, The University of Washington (In-State) ranked at 115. It is nice to see that the investment and the sacrifice that we are making is worth it in the future to get a head and in becoming a success.

Lauren Stiger's curator insight, January 12, 2014 3:03 PM

This article lists colleges based off of return of investment. When looking into colleges to attend it is important to consider the value of the education you are getting as compared to the cost of attending. Of the schools I applied to these made the list: Washington State-In State(235),Oregon State- Out of State(264), Central Washington-In State (352). This article gives the 2012 cost, 30 year net ROI, and the annual ROI. The ranking is done by PayScale of over 1,000 U.S. colleges and universities, including private, public and for-profit schools.  To determine the potential financial return of attending each school  the cost of tuition and the payoff in median lifetime earnings associated with each school is considered.

Campbell Barnhart's curator insight, January 13, 2014 10:50 AM

This article is esentually a list of the schools that are most worth investing your money in via tuition. This can be helpful if paying back your college debts is something of importance to you. Seeing as the schools listed are the one's people pay off debt fastest.

Testing Out: How to “Moneyball” Your Way to a Debt-Free College Degree | Senior year | Scoop.it

I don’t know about you, but I’m fed up with the ancient “college savings tips” so-called experts keep force-feeding us:

“Fill out the FAFSA before senior year to maximize aid eligibility!”“Buy used textbooks, you’ll save hundreds!”“Apply for scholarships. Try FastWeb.com!”

If you follow this advice, you will be thoroughly and totally prepared for college…in 1995. (You know, just in case that year ever comes back.) But in 2013, these strategies will get you slaughtered by the “Student Loan Industrial Complex.”
