Holiday Trace, Secret Charm, Second Life

Holiday Trace, Secret Charm, Second Life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

Holiday Trace is outstanding. You arrive at a station where a big steam locomotive just arrived. On the platform is some luggage from the passengers. The station is decorated for the season. And it is cold, really cold. At Holiday Trace it is snowing everywhere. At the station is one shop (Carnaby Street) and around the corner is a Pub (Oliver’s Tavern). The station itself is worth a visit. Have a look inside and enjoy the details, everything fits!

This holiday season has presented many beautiful sims to explore and the “Holiday Trace” build continues this year’s journey through winter regions. Kylie Jaxxon has put together something truly peaceful and beautiful to behold. I really enjoyed my visit here and wandered around taking in the sights and admiring the placement of the items she has placed around the build. As I mentioned before, it is beautifully done and the perfect location for a quiet getaway.

Holiday Trace (Winter 2017) Secret Charm - Second Life

Holiday Trace (Winter 2017) Secret Charm - Second Life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

Holiday Trace, Secret Charm  Second Life

Holiday Trace, Secret Charm  Second Life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

Over the years, a visit to The Trace family of regions – The Trace, The Trace Too, Summer Trace, Fall Trace, Winter Trace – has always been a pleasure. I’ve written about these regions, which were started by Kylie (Kylie Jaxxon), then became a partnership between her and Elvira Kytori, on numerous occasions in this blog. So, it was with delight that I received news from Shakespeare that there is another in the series – Holiday Trace – now open for visits, and made a point to hop over and explore with Caitlyn as soon as we could. Given the time of year in the northern hemisphere, Holiday Trace is a wintry setting. Snow lies heavy on the ground and falls gently from a windless sky. Exposed water here is heavy with ice thick enough to skate on, and the sounds of the countryside are subdued.

Some people who have been reading this blog for awhile knows my love of the Trace Sims. The owners know what they are doing and provide sims that are the very definition of photographic sims and truly a work of art all on their own. Trust them when you arrive and set your wind light to the region settings to take some simply stunning photos with little effort. Every inch of this sim is to theme, easy to guide through and simply beautiful to walk through and think, or just breathe.

Great Second Life Destinations: State Celebrating the Season at Kylie Jaxxon's Holiday Trace, Secret Charm

Great Second Life Destinations: State Celebrating the Season at Kylie Jaxxon's Holiday Trace, Secret Charm | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

The fresh snows and holiday lights of early Winter are a very short season in Second Life -- with Spring coming early to most destinations in mid-January. Although there is no snow where I live in South Florida, and very little in the way of below 77 degree (25 celsius) temperature at any time, I can celebrate my love of winter snows at classic Second Life destinations, including Kylie Jaxxon's new Holiday Trace.

Holiday Trace, Secret Charm - Second life

Holiday Trace, Secret Charm - Second life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

To my delight Kylie Jaxxon has once again created a version of her well known and much loved The Trace. This time it is called Holiday Trace, and when I saw the announcement on Flickr that it would open soon, I was counting the days to go see it!

Today it opened and it is without a doubt one of Second Life’s most gorgeous winter sims. Well, that is my opinion! The Holiday Trace is – as I have said in several blog-posts over the years about the previous Traces – elegantly landscaped and decorated, obviously much love and effort went in this place. I am happy Kylie decided to do another Trace, together with Elvira Kytori.
