The magic date of January 1st has come and gone. No one turned into a pumpkin, but with each day into the month the pumpkin patch will get picked clean....

My Thoughts:

This is a very informative article explaining why you should fill out FAFSA early and not wait till after you have been accepted to college or after filling out your taxes. It also gives good tips on how to fill out the form that I didn't know before. I know now that if I wait to fill out the form there is a chance I will not get financial aid. I strongly suggest that everyone should fill out FAFSA as soon as they can and remember to fill out the form as accurately as possible.

My Thoughts,

I wasn’t quite sure exactly what the FAFSA was before, but now after researching more about it and its purpose I understand that it is to help students get where they want to go.  Although some people don’t believe they qualify, they should still fill out the FAFSA application because it is always good to have on record in case something actually were to happen, like loss of a job or sickness that prevents you from working to pay loans, bills etc. the lax attitude that is arising amongst students and parents to complete the FAFSA doesn’t help or increase their chances of getting the right or better financial package. I think FAFSA helps those who apply and meet the deadline so anyone can do it.

My Thoughts:

This Article was eye opening for me, I really like how it gives you helpful tips on filling out the FAFSA and why you should fill it out. I now know that you should fill it out because you could get lower interest rates on loans. I also learned that for certain scholarships you have to fill it out or else you could not get that scholarship.  It is also a good idea to fill it out because it is essentially free money that you don’t have to pay back! I would strongly recommend filling out the FAFSA because you can get free money, get lower interest rates on loans and some scholarships require you to fill it out.

I feel that when it comes to the FAFSA it is important because all you have to do is apply and fill out some paperwork and the government basically gives you free money. And I don't understand why some people haven't applied for the FAFSA. It helps you pay for college, and I know not everyone is going to be able to get scholarships that help them totally pay for their college tuition, so why not apply for it.

My Thoughts:

I think this is great for someone who might not know how to start looking for scholarships as well as informing about fake ones that just want your information. A lot of people including myself don't know where to search for scholarships, but this helps giving me ideas on where to start my search for good scholarships that will fit me. I agree that talking to your high school staff members are a good way to find scholarships because they can help find ones that fit you and your interests.

I had some difficulty searching for scholarships and filling them out because I regret not doing as many as I planned. These are just a few tips to suggest on looking for scholarships. My career counselor at school was helpful to me and I wish I would've gone to her sooner.
