Does bullying peak in middle school? Elizibeth Burns, principal, thinks that it is just harder to handle for kids in middle school because of what they are already dealing with (puberty, emotional crisis, etc)

One bullying case got so severe that a mom let her son bring a stun gun to school because he was being bullied so bad. Is bullying becoming such an issue for schools to handle that parents have to step in and allow their kids to break legal and school rules?

As a teacher you need to notice the difference in genders for many things. Its important to recognize bullying in it's different forms based on gender. Girls bullying will not look the same way as boys.

Tim Hill is the author of Joe the Crab Hunts for Shells which is a great book about bullying prevention. A great way to communicate lessons to younger kids is through reading.

Bullying doesn't just have temporary outcomes in school. Once you get out of high school it doesn't always just disappear. Are we sending grown-up bullies into the real world workplaces?

When people think of bullying they think of being shoved into a locker in middle school or high school years. What they don't realize that it can start at a very early age. If teachers dont recognize the signs it could carry on into older years.
