True generosity, and as I have learned that fully accepting people as they are, calls for radical openness, self-discipline and a willingness to be changed by an encounter with the other. This is pure gift on both the giving and receiving end.

 

St. Madeleine Sophie believed that becoming a person of generosity will both center you and open you up to see and experience the richness of creation. And still today, this practice/virtue/value will teach and guide and transform.  Emotional Freedom indeed.

American nuns have given witness to the entrepreneurial spirit for decades, often with obstacles beyond imagination. There are so many ways that the women religious continue to enable and foster the development of entrepreneurship- economic justice, immigration reform, healthcare, peacemaking, ecology, etc. 

 

Our numbers may not be what they once were, but the critical mass of authentic leaders together express their gifts and create life-enriching value. God's power is at work in us all.
